Since opening in 2014 in Shepherd’s Bush this Chinese restaurant has gained fans, outstanding critic reviews from publications including Time Out, Evening Standard, The Times, Financial Times as well as awards including the Michelin Bib Gourmand for "exceptional good food at moderate prices”.
Shikumen's Finchley Road restaurant in NW3 O2 Centre opens with the same menu offering an extensive selection of handmade dim sum served daily until 4.30pm. We recommend the Tianjin Goubuli Bun, Fried Dough Cheung Fun and their popular Xiao Long Bao; soup filled dumplings typical of the Shanghai region.
After 4.30pm Shikumen introduce their a la carte menu of traditional Chinese dishes served in a modern style including the house signature dish of Peking Duck served three ways. The NW3 restaurant has introduced a new 'Robata Grill’ selection offering flame-grilled fish, meat and vegetables with flavours taken from of Japan and Korea.
The restaurant is family-friendly welcoming children of all ages and space to accommodate larger groups and prams. The restaurant is perfectly situated for pre-cinema and post-cinema dining for those looking to combine eating and a trip to the cinema.
Shikumen's eastern flavours continue in the selection of tea, cocktails and sake that can be enjoyed with your meal or at the beautiful bespoke hand-carved wooden bar imported from China.
