A moving novel
Writer Cecily Blench was recently at Waterstones, O2 Centre, signing copies of her debut novel, ‘The Long Journey Home’. We’re happy that Waterstones is able to resume its buzzing events programme. This book shows us the strength and determination that Kate needs to find her way through war-torn Burma to India and on to safety.
Beautiful picture books
Among the latest children’s titles, is ‘Pip & Egg’. Waterstones says it’s, ‘A delightful tale about friendship, nature and the circle of life as a seed and a bird’s egg form a lifelong bond despite the changes that both undergo as the seasons progress.’
A truly original tale
Author Phil Earle signed copies of his book ‘When The Sky Falls’, which made Waterstones Children’s Book of the Month. Based on a true story during the Second World War, it follows Joseph who must protect a huge silverback gorilla.
Waterstones opening hours are Monday - Saturday between 10am - 7pm and Sunday 11am - 5pm.
